The upcoming release of the GeForce RTX 4090D video card is scheduled for the final week of January. Insider information from those connected to NVIDIA’s manufacturing partners indicates that the initial batch of the GeForce RTX 4090D is expected to be distributed starting from the 20th of January onwards.
NVIDIA’s newest addition to their graphics lineup, the RTX 4090D, made its debut last week. This model comes as a strategic response to the U.S. export limitations imposed on its predecessor, the RTX 4090. NVIDIA has tackled the challenge by adjusting the product’s specifications by 11% and maintaining its price, thus ensuring compliance with the new regulations. Although the card was officially introduced on December 28th, it wasn’t ready for market release until the end of January. It’s now projected that the RTX 4090D will start shipping in the last week of January.
Delivery schedules for major AIC graphics card brands are anticipated to face delays, possibly extending to around January 20th. It is expected that the actual dispatch of these shipments may occur within a three-day window around this projected date, with the current shipping forecast being largely verified.
The shipping times for various core AIC graphics card brands are expected to be delayed until around January 20th. The official shipments are likely to occur within approximately 3 days before or after this date, and the shipping plan is currently considered mostly confirmed.
In its latest graphics card iteration, the RTX 4090D, NVIDIA has scaled down the count of Streaming Multiprocessors to 114 from the previous 128, yielding 14,592 CUDA cores and 456 Tensor cores in total. A new power consumption boundary has been instituted by NVIDIA, bringing it down from 450W to 425W. This cap serves to essentially prohibit any significant overclocking attempts. This restriction has a considerable impact on the variety of choices for board partners, as demonstrated by 20 models that have already been declared, all of which will launch with the same clock speeds.
In terms of pricing, NVIDIA has set the cost for the RTX 4090D at 12,999 RMB in the Chinese market, matching the initial suggested retail price of its predecessor, the RTX 4090, upon its first release.
