January may be one of the most interesting months for PC hardware fans.
The upcoming CES 2024 event, which is one of the most eagerly anticipated technology showcases of the year, is set to feature a series of groundbreaking announcements. Intel is gearing up to introduce its latest innovation with the non-K versions of its 14th Generation processors, known as the “Raptor Lake Refresh”. Along with these processors, a new mobile variant with enhanced thermal design power (TDP) is expected to be revealed. Gaming enthusiasts can look forward to exciting new laptop releases from leading manufacturers like MSI, Gigabyte, and ASUS, with ASUS hosting a special live stream titled ‘Transcendence’ to debut their latest ROG (Republic of Gamers) monitors.
Graphics processing unit (GPU) aficionados have much to anticipate as well, with the Consumer Electronics Show of 2024 commencing with an exclusive presentation by NVIDIA on the 8th of January. NVIDIA is slated to unveil their RTX 40 SUPER series, which includes the RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER. Each model in this series will have a specific release date, and pricing details will be shared under separate guidelines for the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) and the non-MSRP models. The release schedule for the RTX 40 SUPER series is staggered throughout the month, with launch dates on the 17th, 24th, and 31st of January.
In contrast to its rivals, AMD has opted out of hosting a live event at CES 2024, having already launched its Ryzen 8000 “Hawk Point” series the previous December. The market is set to see a variety of devices equipped with this new tech, including laptops, compact desktops, and portable gaming systems, all expected to be released this quarter. AMD is also preparing to roll out its Ryzen 8000G series desktop APUs, which will be built on the latest Zen4/RDNA3 architectures, though the official date for this release has not been disclosed.
In other exciting news, AMD is planning to introduce a new desktop GPU, the Radeon RX 7600 XT, anticipated to become available in the last week of January. Although the rumored release date of January 24 remains unverified, it seems to be consistent with the prevailing buzz in the tech community.
With the new month upon us, the tech scene is buzzing with anticipation as various companies are poised to showcase their latest hardware creations. We’re committed to bringing you the latest coverage on these developments as they prepare to make their way into the consumer market.
