Intel Core i9-14900KS preparing to launch soon?
An alleged photograph of the first known i9-14900KS sample has been shared by HXL.
Rumors about a Special Edition Intel Core i9-14900K have been swirling for some time without any solid evidence. Recently, however, an image has emerged that might just validate these claims. If the rumors hold true, this could mark the i9-14900KS as the first Intel processor to break the 6.2 GHz barrier straight out of the box.
The photo in question showcases the processor’s SKU but deliberately hides its S-SPEC code, which is usually a key identifier. A QR code, clearly visible in the image, could theoretically allow Intel to trace the processor back to its source. Yet, the absence of the S-SPEC code adds a layer of mystery to the authenticity of this processor. The source of the leak appears to be a Chinese QQ chat group, which has a history of being the origin for various tech-related leaks.
I don't know if it's fake or not and I don't know if it will be launch.

The i9-14900KS is reportedly an enhanced variant of the 14900K, featuring a maximum P-Core boost frequency of up to 6.2 GHz. It’s also said to have an increased Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 150W, exceeding the standard 125W TDP of the K-series processors.
Historically, CPUs in the LGA1700 KS series have debuted at higher price points, with the i9-12900KS and i9-13900KS launching at $739 and $699 respectively. It’s anticipated that the i9-14900KS will maintain this trend. Notably, previous KS series processors typically hit the market in the March/April timeframe. This suggests that the release of the 14th Gen Core model may be on the horizon, likely arriving earlier than its predecessors.
