Windows Report have leaked HP’s new OLED monitor for gamers.

Recently, information emerged about the HP Omen Transcend 16 gaming laptop, featuring the new Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor and an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. This processor series is noteworthy for its expected market debut in early 2024, making it a rare find at the moment.

In related news, a report from Windows Report revealed HP’s upcoming gaming monitor. This impressive 32-inch 4K gaming monitor features an OLED panel, setting high expectations in terms of visual quality. To address potential OLED burn-in issues, HP has integrated what’s termed as “Omen Tempest Monitor Cooling Tech.” The specifics of this technology, particularly whether it involves active cooling, remain to be detailed.

The monitor’s performance specifications are notable, offering a 240 Hz refresh rate and reaching a maximum brightness of 1000 nits in HDR mode. Although there’s no word yet on VESA certification, it’s confirmed that the monitor is compatible with AMD FreeSync and supports Dolby Vision, enhancing its appeal to gaming enthusiasts.

The OMEN Transcend OLED monitor isn’t just for gaming enthusiasts; it also includes a KVM switch, a unique feature that allows for independently switchable USB ports, as highlighted in the report.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor is well-equipped, featuring HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 ports. This is particularly notable since, despite the Radeon RX 7000 series having supported this standard for over a year, it’s still a rare inclusion in new monitor releases. Additionally, the monitor offers USB Type-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode and Power Delivery capabilities of up to 140W. The diverse range of ports also includes USB Type-A 3.2 and USB Type-C 3.2, with a dedicated USB Type-C port for data transfer.

The anticipated OMEN Transcend OLED monitor is expected to be officially unveiled at CES 2024, promising to be a significant addition to the tech and gaming market.
